In September of 2006, Zaman International held its premiere events in Dearborn, MI.
Premiere Dinner – “While We Wait…” 2006 Banquet
The purpose of the premiere banquet was to show the local and national community what Zaman International hopes to accomplish for social justice in America, and beyond. It was held in honor and commemoration of the birth of the Awaited Savior- Imam al-Mahdi (atf). The dinner was attended by approximately 400 individuals. All ticket donation proceeds were matched by International Medical Corps and contributed to the Lebanon relief efforts.
Premiere Conference – “While We Wait…” Conference
As the amount of injustice and corruption in the world increases to unprecedented levels, the time for the reappearance of the Awaited Savior has become very relevant to our daily lives. The purpose of this conference was to understand Islam from a new, unique and complete perspective. The conference served to provide the opportunity for a higher level of learning taught from the window of the Awaited Savior- Imam al-Mahdi (atf).
The conference featured world renowned speakers who imparted their knowledge and expertise. Through workshops and breakout sessions attendees were able to share their thoughts and ask questions surrounding the concept of the savior among other thoughts. The conference also featured a very successful children’s program providing both education and fun. The conference was attended by over 200 individuals from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, California, Florida, and Canada.
