In the past decade, Zaman has supported more than 12,500 families through crisis and provided more than 61,000 services. In celebration of the organization’s 10th anniversary (to the day of the organization’s founding, Nov. 23, 2004), volunteer efforts and official opening of its new 40,500 square-foot facility in Inkster, Mich., Zaman International hosted its Flag Raising Event, including a ceremonial raising of the American flag by public officials and the Zaman flag by Board Members, donors, clients and children supporting and served by the organization. The flag raising was followed by a Blue Ribbon acknowledgment ceremony in which more than 10 different awards were given to recognize 160 volunteers and donors across Southeast Michigan who have helped build Zaman over the past decade into the organization it is today.
The Hope For Humanity Center includes everything Zaman offers under one roof, allowing the organization to be as cost-effective as possible and convenient for the marginalized women and children served and the volunteers who help fulfill the organization’s mission every day. Zaman International provides hope to marginalized women and children whose basic needs would otherwise not be met. Zaman’s services include provision of food and clothing, shelter, dignified infant burial and skills training to prepare women to help themselves.
